Why are People Still Drawn to the Black and White Image?

There’s something about black and white images that makes them powerful, interesting and almost more expressive than color photos. One might have assumed, back when color photos were first developed, that black and white images would slowly turn into a relic from a time when imaging technology was in its infancy. After all, color brings a whole new dimension to photography. However, as the years went by, black and white photography didn’t disappear. Instead, these monochrome images have... continue reading

First hand-drawn illustrations

Hi all,Few months ago I bought an Intuos 4 M tablet. But as I haven't have much leisure time (everyday work + need to make jpg's from RAW's which queue was very, very long), it sat all the time in a drawer. Last week I finally decided to take it out thinking, if I already bought it, then I must use it too. So, I connected the device, took the pen, watching out of window and thinking "Now what?" Drawn people

For me, people are really hard to draw. I'm no professional artist, just a mere amateur. Drawing people is a great challenge for me. I often fail, seldom succeed in it. I'm on the way to publish my book, the Omnis Trilogy. Having ho money to pay the professional artist I must draw all three covers myself. I managed to avoid... continue reading

What you can do with pencil drawn pictures

Someone said that pencil in artwork is the same as piano in music. It's a base for everything. And for unknown reason I like it best of all. So as the black&white pictures and retro photos. When the only color is gray, nothing pushes your imagination, and you have more freedom imaging any color you like. Most of my handdrawn pictures were made with pencil only. They're black and white, but it doesn't mean that I don't like color. When I want to add some color to the picture, I prefer to use computer... continue reading
