'How' is important more than in 'What' Being a novice stock photographer we have may face many problems as economically, lack of proper device and equipment and so on as we are new to stock photography. But according to my point of view being a budding photographer we shouldn’t blame our situation. I like to remember a famous line given to a novice. That is, ‘start with what you have, where are you and do what you can’. This is golden rule to become... continue reading

I don't know about you, but photography is something that gives me real pleasure. It's nearly always on my mind: planning the next project; scoping out new places to shoot; reading as much as I can about new techniques; appreciating other photographers' work; checking out the window to assess the light; scouring a well known auction site to look for my next longed-for piece of equipment. But, as is true for many of us, the "day job" can be a major obstacle to growing my photography portfolio.... continue reading
This is my first blog, but only to say thanks to those who have purchased my photos! Nothing gives me more encouragement than people giving me support and advice to improve my photography. The refused files with attached reasons for refusal is really painful but USEFUL at the same time =) Haven't sold many, but when it happens its a great feeling, addictive! continue reading
I have been on Dreamstime for about 9 months now and have learned a lot about stock photography. I love being part of a photographic community and I am working toward becoming an exclusive contributor. This week my work achieved one of my highest goals to date (besides sales).I submitted 3 images for the home improvement assignment and all were refused. Close...but not interesting enough. Sigh. I marinated for a few days thinking I would NEVER get it right. (I submitted to the last assignment... continue reading

Hello Everyone,I am very happy with that 100+8 images are online. i think it isn't easy to achieve that, because i was rejected so many time before and i was demotivated for a period of time, but i believe "Keep uploading" and "See more articles and blog from DT" then i learned something and increase the acceptance ratio. Thanks all and wish you good luck ^^My beautiful hometown: continue reading
As I have now reached the milestone of 100 images online, I want to tell you my story with Dreamtimes.Long time ago, in December 2007, being intrigued by the possibility to sell images online, I decided to submit a series of photos on this site. To be precise, I uploaded about 15 photos. I thought they were very nice, mostly related to shooting pictures of plants and vegetation covered by ice and snow.I remember that I spent a long time to set up those images, to generate the keywords and to... continue reading
