You’re reading something online. An ad pops up. You furiously look for the cross to get rid of it. Sound familiar? Your challenge should you wish to accept it: to make people forget about what they were reading and click on your ad.How? Read on. 1.Do vegetarians secretly eat meat?Of course not. Instead of trying to convert people to your way of thinking, target people who are already convinced. Look at this.Someone who loves a bargain will click on this. But if they see discounted... continue reading
Search results for "engagement"
Ads. Most hate them, but put up with them. Advertisers try to find a way for users not skip them and users try to find ways to skip to the actual content. From that idea the thing that should come out is that there needs to be a way that ads show their content without being intrusive as much and respect the reader/user/potential customer. So about being not being intrusive... Some ads implementations don't take into account the layout of the article or the aspect ration of the screen and just serve... continue reading

I took my engagement ring, put it on the marguerite and this is what I made. :)I started to like to take a pictures of my ring, maybe because it´s something new for me. I´ve been engaged for four months and we are planning to get married on November in Jakarta, Indonesia. Three weeks ago, in preparation for a skiing trip I switched my Canon Rebel with my eighteen year old daughter’s Lumix G1—I needed something more compact that I can take along with me up and down the slopes and still be able to take some decent enough pictures if not for stock submission. So off she went back to college with the Rebel and Tamron 18-270mm lens.[The long of the short of the snowboarding trip is, one, I wasn't able to take decent photos up the slope. Two and more painfully, I realized that I am too old or perhaps out of shape (or both) to expect to be able to do the things I was able to do in my 30’s, which if I may add, was only about four years ago. So a while back I blogged about taking engagement pictures and my fear of it being a complete failure. Due to weather we've had to postpone several times and this weekend happens to be the perfect time! So Sunday I'm heading out and I've made a few preparations I wanted to share with you all. I don't know if any of you do any of this or just wing it but this is the game plan thus far, and if anyone has any suggestions or advice, feel free to speak up!1. I don't do posed photos so I've made a list... continue reading
So this has been an incredibly busy week outside my world of photography. My children have more of a social life than I do and end of the year school activities have me running in all directions. Which has turned out to be a good thing because that has left very little time to think about how nervous I am about my Sunday photo shoot. First, let me say, I'm an in-the-moment kind of photographer. I don't like posing people and molding them to something they aren't so I like to let them do their thing... continue reading
