I have just had my annual vacation to northern England and spent a good deal of time walking the hills and dales of Lancashire and Yorkshire. I always like to find something different than I've found before and one thing I found on this trip was something called a clapper bridge. I didn't know what a clapper bridge was but found out it is a large stone used as a bridge over a beck or stream. I took the following photograph of one called clam bridge. It is located a quarter of a mile... continue reading

This has been quite a difficult winter for good outdoor images, too many days with poor weather conditions for good photography. We've had many windy dull days which makes outdoor photography that bit more difficult. Opportunities still present themselves if you are lucky and look for them. Getting up early to catch a good sunrise on one of the better mornings can definitely be worth it as the following image shows.I caught the right day with this image as the following day there were severe... continue reading

It is steeped in History and boasts the most diverse and beautiful coastline.I have had my brother staying with me for a while and he, unlike my husband, is interested in photography, although not quite as much as me.I don’t often have the opportunity... continue reading

The main ingredients I have found to half decent images are research, planning, time/patience, equipment and the quality of light. If your ticking all or most of these things then your doing well. So I have decided to create the ULTIMATE British wildlife collection, if you would like to have images considered for this collection then please add your ID numbers... continue reading
Had the pleasure to take my kids inside the Palace of Westminster and got this close up in the grounds on 'Big Ben' as people like to call it. This building is amazing inside, just stunning and humbling. Also went to West Mersea and saw this pic waiting to be captured - vessels getting ready for the Regatta. Topped it off sailing to the Clacton Airshow and seeing the Vulcan fly overhead. continue reading
