Hello there!Another rejection of your additional file? Don't panic! Take a deep breath and read this blog. I hope it will help you to understand the mistakes you make.I'll start with vectors. The most common mistake is raster (bitmap) elements on your illustration. It happens when you export a file format that isn't supported because of certain types of gradients, transparent objects or different effects that you used.More simply: if your iIllustrator is CS6 and you use transparent... continue reading

Hello everyone, this image that was recently accepted, was created completely in Photoshop, I tried to send the additional format in EPS, but not charged, you can tell me what is wrong? Thank you as always, greetings to all! continue reading
I'm waiting to know if my eps file will be approved or not by dreamstime.Unfortunately, I know it takes a long time, because those files are to be tested to see that they are editable. The importance of eps is fundamental, I think, in dreamstime. Seeing the general demands of the market, in fact, these files can I open a new world in sales .... not to mention the fact that I noticed that all the illustrators who sell several images regularly charge the eps.I took this decision (to load the... continue reading
Working with Inkscape:Saving a .svg file to an .eps fileOne way to solve a bitmap problem. If you have accidental blurs, transparencies, gradients etc and you are trying to save to an .EPS (inkscape) you will need to find them and fix it, before this will work.Everytime you "draw" a shape or color it records each step. This is one way to find a problem..nullOpen your file to inkscape and chose your illustration.Under Edit: Open XML editorand then Open Fill and Stroke... continue reading
This is a question that I think for some time. When we load an additional file, it must be modified by those who buy it.Eps files don't always allow a change that is not in order of the dimensions (with those created in gimp you can just change the size, tested on mine images), but in recent months I seemed to understand that graphics need something more than this simple changing and I cann't deny that the EPS files created are quite heavy (many MB).In your opinion, would not be a good idea... continue reading
Hi to everyone, sorry if still annoy you with the same problem. With years of experience in illustration I know that today buyers love to have vector source file for their projects. So I've just submitted a pack of additional files. Before I'm used to add an ai vector additional file to my illustrations. Now I've experienced that eps file saved as an AI8-compatible EPS is more editable and easier to use by buyers that can open them with both Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw. So I'm saving all in EPS, will buyers thank? I really hope so! :) continue reading
Sometimes when I illustrate, my EPS file gets too big (around 50MB or more) and that's one thing you can avoid happening. For better compatibility I save my vector files as EPS 8, so after the original AI file is finished try to shrink the size of the file this way:- Click Save As (choose EPS)-A new dialog box appears and you choose the Version: Illustrator 8 EPS (for best compatibility)-Choose the Preview Format to NONE (this will decrease the size of it quite a bit)-Now uncheck Embed... continue reading
I'd like to be in autumn or winter to taste the cold of those seasons!Summer it's too hot for sleeping good and, with few hours slept every night, also my will to create is smaller (not everyday, fortunately).I started to uploads EPS file, some of them are already accepted by DT and it's very good, not only because, through the eps, I can give buyers a greater supply, but also because upload eps, allow me to "pick up ideas for new images to be created, as well as create a continuous line to... continue reading
Dear members of dreamstime, sometimes I am reading, that the additional format was not accepted. You can fix this problem, if you are using the open source program GIMP. It is an image manipulation program and it is free. You can download it on GIMP.org. I had the luck, that until today every eps additional image was accepted by dreamstime. Gimp is able to save the image as an eps. If you have for example a jpg image then you click save as and write simply in the field the name of the image and... continue reading
