Customers aren't just looking for high fashion models. Many customers are looking for real people doing real things. I would consider myself more of a real life photographer. I don't pay my models usually, except for a few which I'll talk about later. This article is about how I get models and how I work with them and what seems to be selling. I have much to learn, but will share what I have learned as a newer photographer with Dreamstime. For this photo of the police officer woman,... continue reading

I’m always excited to notice if my photographs have been viewed – and more so if one is purchased. Predominantly interested in the science behind landscapes and nature, I don't often have models in my images – though I have used them. I don’t pay my models. So far, the thought and conviviality over ‘a sell’ has been enough of an enticement to keep them interested in participating with me in this, my new hobby. The running joke and discussion we have is that if a photograph of... continue reading
The blue hour occurs twice every day, just before sunrise and after sunset, but despite its regularity it provides almost magical opportunities for photography. Do you lack colors in your photos? Would you appreciate more mystical atmosphere in your frames? And would you treasure seeing your town from a unique perspective, which you would never have noticed at noon? Then the blue hour offers two unique, "once in a lifetime-like", chances every single day. This spring I have experimented with taking... continue reading
Hi all!As some of you might have read already, even though I registered here in 2013, I started to upload images just in March 2016. Now, after 3 months, I already have more than 1300 images in my portfolio, and still many more to upload. Here is some of them: Sales are going quite slow, but I know that I need to be patient, as I've just uploaded most of them (still 1 month ago I had only 300 images in my portfolio). Now, I have some question... continue reading
Before I start my story I want to tell my fellow photographers that I am not good in English. Hope you all will forgive me for that.I joined DT on 7/12/2014. Those days I knew nothing about photography and still I am learning, and this is a never ending process. One keeps learning till the day they die.I uploaded a lot of photos after joining but most of them were rejected, yes few selected. This happened again and again. I than started concentrating on the reasons of rejection. There are reasons... continue reading
First sale, 50 accepted images, becoming exclusive, 100 accepted images, and now 200 accepted images. Little, but significant milestones for a newbie in stock photography. To honor the 200th accepted image I decided to do what I promised myself for the other newbie-milestones: sharing my first experiences in a blog. The coincidence wants that I can announce my 200th accepted picture with a salute of gunshots as this picture is a cannon I shot .I’ve been taking pictures since I was born, at that... continue reading

Today, rolling on the floor with laughter :))). My friend brought pictures of his daughter made in kindergarten how the "photographer of the professionals" for a certain sum of money.- What are some good photos! - All said. The plot of the photo - the child embraces a large soft toy, a striped tiger. 1 photo in full growth and 2 sitting photos.
