It is a constant for new contributors joining Dreamstime so there are always people who are beginning their journey into the business of commercial photography. And thus, many of them invariably ask the same questions over and over as they seek answers for being successful in the world of microstock. One of the biggest problems they face is being able to separate the good advice from the bad. There are many myths and a general mindset that is perpetuated even by experienced microstockers. This... continue reading
Search results for "failure"
I did not realize it is already six years. Six years and one month more precisely.I can't really call it a big success but it is no total failure either. Sold 1503 pictures and managed to put 840 online. There were ups and downs, moments of joy and hope followed by moments of disappointment.I never really believed that this hobby of mine can generate serious money but at the beginning I hoped it is going to be more significant. It is my fault as I could have uploaded more. Much more.... continue reading
Master to Grasshopper: "When you can snatch pebble from hand, it will be time for you to go."The old television series KUNG FU in many ways mirrors the artist journey, including the genre of photography. KUNG FU was essentially the story of a single journey for discovering the inner self. Circuit boards are usually... continue reading

For once, a blog post that has no real photographic content, just to underline once again how important regularily backing up your data is.Beside being an amateur photographer, I'm also a keen simracer (I use the iracing.com simulator, essentially racing on ovals), and my computer had been "getting on a bit".Helped by the fact that I decided not to buy the 50D for a few more months, I had some money to spend. It went into a new processor and a new graphics card.In order to install the... continue reading
