Everybody has their own style and interests within photography and beyond it. My favourite subjects have always been landmarks and nature. However like most people, sometimes I'm experimenting in places where I have never been before. Sometimes these experiments results in an extraordinary picture. Like one of my best pictures. It was almost ten years ago, in a cold winter evening. I was sitting before my computer, and reading news, while my girlfriend was taking a shower. The only light source... continue reading

Two weeks ago, one of my biggest dream came true - I've visited Lofotens, Norway for the first time in my life. I was really eager to get there while watching the photos of Lofotens all over the Internet. Those 8 days just passed as 8 hours. And now I'd like to share my little experience and mistakes to make your photo trip to Norway easier and more comfortable. 1. Learn your places before you visit them. There are plenty of photos in Internet and articles. Be prepared and informed. Plan... continue reading
I just sold my first two images. I only have 76 images in the portfolio but it helps to be in the right place at the right time. I know from past experience that a dynamic title, description, and keywords also play a big role in getting selected. In my last job before retirement I sold ads in the Yellow pages. We were always looking for pictures to fit in the content of the ad. If you can still remember the Yellow pages there were hundreds of categories running from a... continue reading
Really excited to share my first sale experience with you friends. I uploaded five files around 15 days ago(from the sale) and all of them gets selected and I was lucky enough to got the attention of a buyer in this short span of time, and my image got sold in 8 credits($1.80). What surprise me more that I find myself motivated and energetic after my first sale and created few more illustrations/graphics for coming events, so I created graphics for 4th July celebration... continue reading
Tadaaa! I am so happy to finally reached $100 - ($101.18 to be exact, lol). I tried to withdraw only $100 but it did not allow me. I requested for a cheque instead of claiming it through Paypal because I would like to take a picture of my first cheque in Dreamstime and keep the picture as a souvenir since it will be my first payment in stock photography. Plus I want to mention my $100 earning to my Mom too so I need that cheque as a proof!I am being silly, haha. :DI also just realized that... continue reading
It's hard to believe. But the announcement was real. Ranks second for the assignment contest. Very movingIt seems unfair if I do not share this happiness with my friends at DT, at least I can tell a little story behind this victory. Not even one year I joined the DT, and predictable sales are still very quiet. Please note, that when joining DT April last year I only uploaded 4 files and that was only a condition. Then a week later I tried uploading as many as 9 files with the same photo series... continue reading
My name is Victoria, I'm 20 years old and I'm a graphic design student in UBA, Argentina. A year and months ago, my dad bought a restaurant where I had to order all the graphics.First, I had to design the logo. I recommend that when you design a logo is simple and represent as much as possible to what is going to be represented as it is and will be the image of the business in any social network, advertising, etc. and ultimately, the face of the company. You can play with rhetoric but whenever... continue reading
A couple of years ago somebody showed me some pictures of macro photography. They looked interesting, however, it did not resonate with me. Now, many years later, I read some booksand looked at videos on Youtube. It turns out that macro photography is a lot more than taking pictures of plants and insects and laying on the ground. So, there was a growing interest. After realising that my regular lenses would not suffice, I looked at possible cheap adjustments:- close-up filters are put on a regular... continue reading
I still remember when I was starting, it was a hot month of august, I took my camera and went to take as many images as I could.Among those photos was one that I did not find very pleasant to admire, because it seemed very simple, it was a rocky texture of the earth that at first had caught my attention, but over time lost interest. Each photograph that I was uploading achieved a medium success, which motivated me to continue again and again with the taking of new and new photos, improving my technique... continue reading
From all the uses that my photography has for me, the first useful contact came to me in the form of scientific support. It seems like only yesterday when the professor of anatomy first showed us the human body. It was like discovering a new universe: so many bones, so many muscles, so many blood vessels, so many nerves, so many organs.Imagine that you need to explain to a 10-year-old child the human body without the help of a picture. Pretty tough, huh? Then try with the component of a cell.Then... continue reading
