From Pinterest's blog:"You can now find a Pinterest button in the Flickr share menu to easily pin everything that you can share via Flickr, including photo pages, favorites, and groups. If you pin frequently, the Pin It button will show as one of the two shortcuts directly on the photopage.Attribution appears below the pin’s description and provides a permanent link to the work, its author, and where they host their content. Because attribution cannot be edited, photographers can rest assured... continue reading

I just checked my Flickr mail and found out that one of the shots that I submitted to one of my groups for constructive criticism has been posted on the South Florida NPR radio station. I have contacted them and they are going to post the watermarked version that I have online here as the image instead of the version that I have on my flickr.A link to the postinghttp://wlrnunderthesun.org/2009/09/south-florida-photo-of-the-week-92909/The DT image continue reading

Hi there...I am a brand new Dreamstime member and it looks as if I have quite a bit to learn! It was interesting to see that the photos that are most liked by friends, family and Flickr members are the ones that are no good for stock photography and the photographs that I thought were not quite right are accepted on Dreamstime.I have learnt quitea bit from other Flickr members but I think I have a lot further to go before becoming a successful stock photographer!Flickr members are perhaps... continue reading
As I am deciding to open a Flickr account and start using it as a way to share photos, get critiques, and maybe even drive sales to Dreamstime, I wanted to toss out one more question:Does anyone have comments on Picasa?Several people have commented eloquently on their happiness with Flickr, and I have seen how active that community seems to be.On the other hand, much of my life is already integrated into my Google account, and so I don't want to toss away this option without at least giving... continue reading
I have noticed that many of my fellows Dreamstimes members maintain active Flickr sites.I've enjoyed looking through those, and have gotten lots of great inspiration from the photos.I'm wrestling with the idea of creating my own Flickr site.I see a couple pros, and a couple cons.On the positive side, I can see that sharing photos is (almost) always satisfying.Once the shots are on Flickr, it's no work at all to get them to clients, family, friends. . .I have a sense that Flickr... continue reading
