Hello, Today I was just managing my fonts, then I realized that I have over 6883 fonts in my library collected & purchased for the past seven years since I started designing. I'm using Suitcase Fusion (very useful software) to manage my fonts in both Mac & PC. Now I have another few thousands fonts which I need to check. I'm a great font fan. Since many days I had this issue with my Mac G5 Desktop, when I view few sites or yahoo messenger I wasn't able to read anything as it appeared like alien characters. Although we can include text in vectors, we can't leave it as it is. Just in case the person who downloads the vectors is in Mongolia and they only have Mongolian fonts installed in their computer. They won't be able to see the text properly. So we need to convert them to outlines. Quick way to do this is to right click on the text and select Create Outlines. I was reading this post HERE. Which in short is about a program used to find simular photos to one you input.That reminded me of a very useful website that does the same thing but for FONTS. You can input a picture or a url of a font and the website will find you the font or at least as close as they can come to the font.I've found this very useful over the past few years as a ad designer, expecially when dealing with smaller businesses that don't have digital copies of their logos or ad material.... continue reading
