Ok after squeezing over 1,500 stock images out of my micro four thirds camera over the past two years, it was time to cash in some earnings and go pro.I started out this journey a few years ago after jumping into DLSRs in order to photograph the model railroad layout I was building.Rather quickly photography took over as my passion and the model railroad still is up in the attic unfinished.Discovering microstock as an outlet for the photographs that were quickly filling up my hard drives,... continue reading

Hello,Last month i decided i wanted to part from my old Canon 400D and its kit lens. Now I face one big decision: which Canon body should become my "new partner in crime"?At the moment my options are the follwing:1. Canon 7D2. Canon 5D mark II3. Canon 6D (which will soon be available for sale). Now I know, the first one is a crop camera and the second and third one are full frame cameras. You can now buy a new 7D camera for quite a good price and although it is a crop camera it has... continue reading
If you pay attention to photo news, there are a lot of new cameras and technology coming out ahead of the Photokina 2012 Show this week. Here is a quick round up and my take on what is interesting for stock photography. If anything, this is the year of the full frame enthusiast body - with Nikon, Canon and Sony all offering full frame bodies lower in price than the existing "non-professional" bodies like the 5D Mk III and D800.Another key highlight this year seems to be the inclusion of Android,... continue reading
So, this summer I made a trip in my own country Romania, visiting places I've never been before. And on the forst day of the trip I landed at The Muddy Volcanoes. It is a site you need to see in a lifetime. It's simply amazing. And as I am a lucky guy, I arived there a half hour before the sunset and managed to get a few beautiful photos of this natural wonder in the most beautiful light. After that i knew my trip was going to be great :DSo here are a couple of photos of the volcanoes : continue reading
First of all, I need to stress that this is my no means a technical review of the Canon 5D Mark 3. I will leave that to the experts. I cannot compare this to other brands such as Canon's main competition Nikon because I have never used one. I will however compare this to my 7D. I have also had the opportunity over the last few years to work with the 5D Mark 2.When I'm not in the studio, I shoot weddings and events which are notorious for ever changing lighting conditions. In need of a camera that... continue reading
After taking slow and erratic steps into this wonderful world of photography and after seven years of determination I have finally decided to leave the financial comfort of my "real job" and dedicate myself in full to photography and I cannot express the wonderful free feeling that I have!!! After finally leaving a personal relationship over 2 years ago that kept my personality suppressed and having worked for others always and other peoples ideas and commands for many years too, the feeling of freedom... continue reading
Hi!First of all, sorry for my bad english :)I am on DT since 2009, but I had only 30 images online for 2 years.I earned very small money and 2 month ago I decided to be more active on the site so I became excluse . I've uploaded several images, mostly about dogs, sharpeis. Now I have 109 imagees online, had 33 total sales. Last 2 sales (P-EL sales) doubled my earnings and now I have 97,44$. I am very happy with it.What do you think, is it possible to be successful with mainly dog photos... continue reading
After waiting for over a year to see what Canon would produce with their Mark III, I've finally made the jump and ordered a Mark II for a drastic upgrade. While I have no doubt the III is going to be a mind blowing peice of equipment, I think for my particular situation it's a bit overkill and I'm sure I'llbe perfectly happy with the II for a $1000 savings. I can't wait to get my 16-35 on a full frame finally. In the meantime I'll be the one with my face pressed against my front door window eagerly... continue reading
