As i sit here uploading numbers 98,99 and 100, in the hope they take me to the magic one hundred,it suddenly hit me.They are photos from nearly 3 years ago, photos that i took on our holiday to my second home. Pictures i had overlooked and not even thought about until now.And that got me wondering how many hidden gems (as long as they pass the test) we all have hidden away. how many holiday photos we have all taken and never even looked at when we got home, and yet somewhere out there there... continue reading

I don't know about you, but photography is something that gives me real pleasure. It's nearly always on my mind: planning the next project; scoping out new places to shoot; reading as much as I can about new techniques; appreciating other photographers' work; checking out the window to assess the light; scouring a well known auction site to look for my next longed-for piece of equipment. But, as is true for many of us, the "day job" can be a major obstacle to growing my photography portfolio.... continue reading
This is my first blog, but only to say thanks to those who have purchased my photos! Nothing gives me more encouragement than people giving me support and advice to improve my photography. The refused files with attached reasons for refusal is really painful but USEFUL at the same time =) Haven't sold many, but when it happens its a great feeling, addictive! continue reading
I have been on Dreamstime for about 9 months now and have learned a lot about stock photography. I love being part of a photographic community and I am working toward becoming an exclusive contributor. This week my work achieved one of my highest goals to date (besides sales).I submitted 3 images for the home improvement assignment and all were refused. Close...but not interesting enough. Sigh. I marinated for a few days thinking I would NEVER get it right. (I submitted to the last assignment... continue reading
I took my engagement ring, put it on the marguerite and this is what I made. :)I started to like to take a pictures of my ring, maybe because it´s something new for me. I´ve been engaged for four months and we are planning to get married on November in Jakarta, Indonesia. I´m so curious about that, because traditional sundanese ceremony is absolutely different than czech wedding. In Czech Republic is normal to wear white long dress (as in most countries) and we have some traditions like bride... continue reading

Hello Folks,First of all I want to thank the mystery buyer of one my images, marking my first sale on Dreamstime.Hopefully it will now lead to further sales. The excitement of having images accepted on DT in the first place is just fantastic, especially after having quite a few rejections, but to have a sale - well it’s a different feeling altogether. Many thank’s for all the encouragement from the Dreamstime Family on my previous posts, and here’s to the future and more sales.Take... continue reading
Hello. Sure by now you have heard about the potential risk of losing control over your images once you upload them on the Internet (on your blog, Facebook/Twitter/G+ page or even by selling them). Here's an older article here that explains how minor changes in layout can generate a huge mass of copyright infringements, in most cases without people even knowing it.The content we generate as professionals or amateurs, for commercial means or just for fun should remain ours, at least for the next 72 years.... continue reading
I'm creating a collection of images of the gemologist at work. The gemologist, gems, pearls and precious stones. These factors Gemologists study while valuing or appraising cut and polished gemstones.
