February 14th is not only a day for love & lovers, it's also the International Book Giving Day!Here's a copy/paste from the FB page of this community:"Join us in celebrating International Book Giving Day!1. Give a book to a friend or relative;2. Wrap up a box of children's books that your kids have outgrown and get them in the hands of children who could really use a book or two; or3. Leave a good book in a waiting room or lobby."How cool is that? Books, in every possible form, are... continue reading

Isn't it a great feeling when someone takes the time to write a helpful, supportive or event positive yet critical comment on an image you've taken? Not only does it generate a nice warm feeling that someone has taken the time to comment but also provides useful feedback to the photographer.Although I haven't received too many comments on images I know how great it can be when I do get it and will undertake to post a comment on 3 or more images every week in an effort to spread a little cheer... continue reading
I am not too much in writing blogs but always read useful articles. Some of those were really helpful and improved my thinking and my skills. Here my opinion is, we should encourage the author by clicking at "useful" link if article has helped us. It let the author understand, what people likes and moreover, he/she gets a credit too. What do you think? continue reading

This months message has to to be related to my 2nd year anniversary here as a DT member.I have now been a contributing member [photographer] of this community for two years & am very happy to report that every month things are going from good to better.I say [photographer] as I do not believe that I can actually place myself into the "real photographer" category, just yet … as I am still learning more & more each day …But that at the end of the day was one of the chief reasons that I... continue reading
I can almost not believe it myself.Today 22/02/2009, is the one year anniversary of having my first images accepted here at DT.At the time time of starting this endeavor — I was hoping that I would be able to have at least 50 images successfully accepted, here at DT …Well I guess I must have either set my sights on far too small a figure, or perhaps I just undersold my own levels. In one year, to the day, I've managed to have 414 images successfully accepted, with 130 sales to... continue reading
I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday. I have so much to be thankful for and one of the things that I am giving Thanks for this year, is the opportunity to be a part of DT and the chance to make some money doing something I truly enjoy. continue reading
Sometimes the contradictions of the modern world startle me, and this is especially true when it comes to social websites like Facebook and MySpace (and, to a lesser extent, Flickr).Quite why some people feel the urge to tell the whole planet minute details of their lives is beyond me, especially considering that in general these people would not tell those details to total strangers in public. But here we are, people give out information that in general is considered as "top secret", and... continue reading
