I see that in Dreamstime community it belongs to the good manners to celebrate specific milestones publicly. Well, for me, the very important goal was to reach the 200 photos milestone. Why? When I was starting to contribute photos into photobanks, I searched for some tips and experiences. Once somewhere I saw an information that bunch of people (80 % ? or 90 %? well, simply a lot) never ever gets over two hundred pictures in their portfolio (because they do not have enough patience with this kind... continue reading

I think that everybody needs inspiration from time to time. I live in Ukraine, last haft a year has been very tough here. I was exhausted emotionally, did not see any positive tendencies, did not find any source for inspiration to take pictures. But then I read Wisconsinart’s blog about earning $20,000 for 5 years of microstocking. That experience shows that if you are fascinated by the things you love and dedicate your time to it, it brings you back not only fun, but also earnings. The point... continue reading
I've rarely gotten assignment photos accepted so I almost didn't bother the other day when I saw the latest one. It was the last possible day to upload one but I figured I'd give it a try and I got this one accepted. I'm excited and hoping it will get some votes now that it's in there. There are some excellent photos for the latest concept and others with First Date as the first encounter theme so the competition is tough.I wish I could have uploaded editorial photos too - I had people shaking... continue reading

I thought it would never be possible as I have to do a full time job elsewhere. But today I got 2000 file accepted in Dreamstime. It took almost four years to do this. I’m so happy.I started submitting isolated objects in DT like these-DT is my first agency to upload images. Though I am uploading almost every major microstock agencies, the affection of DT is something different for me. Day by day, I have tried to learn about photography and to improve my gear. I started with a Compact... continue reading
I was very happy to see One of my images made it into this months assignment contest. I spent hours looking over all the hundreds of hobby editorial photos I had done.. civil war reenactment, model trains, volunteer.. there are so many many hobbies out there- but I find I am often unable or too shy to ask total strangers for a copy rite release! so the image that DID make it in, is my son, taken after he crossed the finish line in a running muddy marathon. He loves sports and recently took up running... continue reading
