Excellent topic to start with the blog.I love to travel, I usually travel on weekends, looking for the best photographs. I have a basic equipment but with great performance, Nikon D5100, with several lenses that allow me to obtain high quality images. Here are the lessons that travel photography has left me:The time of day counts:Shoot in the shade (Avoid direct sunlight) orTake pictures in the shade or on a cloudy day.The light passing through the leaves of the trees, the... continue reading

If it’s the 3rd Sunday in September, then it must be Wife Appreciation Day – or as we like to refer to it in my house, just your typical day!Wife Appreciation Day was designed to celebrate wives without children – kind of like a Mother’s Day without the Labor Day.Although nobody is quite certain how it started, the general consensus is it was created by a loving husband to celebrate his childless wife. But it could just as easily have been started by the wife - or by the greeting card... continue reading

I'm on Bonaire until the 31st of January working as an intern (at my age!) with the Bonaire Coral Restoration Foundation trying to put a dent in the decline of endangered Caribbean Elkhorn and Staghorn Acropora corals. So far so good, everything I've seen is encouraging a high degree of naive optimism. Sadly, the longterm picture for coral everywhere, and pretty much everything else in the sea that needs to build a skeleton from calcium and carbonate, is very bleak if we can't get are act together... continue reading
I just wanted to say hi everyone. I'm quite new to this whole stock photo thing but I'm looking to hit it running.I've always enjoyed taking photos; one of my proud moments was buying my first 35mm SLR. Not log after that; in the late 90's; I got my first digital camera, a 1.33MP Casio. I thought it was fantastic that I could take an image; then review and delete if no good.. Though I remember that the 4xAA batteries did not last more that 100 images.Since then I had many point and shoot cameras... continue reading
I hear a lot of folks bemoaning the fact that things are taking a little longer on the site these days. With the vast number of contributors and uploads, we are experiencing a bit of a delay in processing queues when uploading our pictures - videos - audios - illustrations. When you find yourself with a bit of spare time on the site, there is a fun game you can play while you wait.Try taking your last 10 sales and see if you can weave a story around them. It's fun to do, and just may stimulate... continue reading
