I was encouraged to write this article, I thought I can do it too, I have so much to say, and I know exactly what I want to say, I want to tell you about a recent visit to an abandoned factory in the place where I live; being there made me feel many feelings mixed happiness, sadness, and above all a huge curiosity to know how everything ended in ruins? It was a gradual process, of course everything happened slowly before the eyes of many who simply stopped looking in the place Right.I am one of those... continue reading

So guys, this is the unknown beauty.. Amazing crystal sea in an island which was called the black island. It's called so because 200 years ago, it was still the unknown, untouchable by the outsiders. It's in Raja Ampat, Bird head of Papua New Guinea which is the Indonesian part, located in the northern of Australia. We flew from Jakarta to Sorong by plane and landed in the morning, welcomed by the beautiful sunrise in warm temperature. The new airport... continue reading
Some months ago I got accepted an image, which was marked with the content filter. This of course I found out later on, when I was wondering, why the image has 0 views and it is not showing in my portfolio. It was not showing, because I had by a default set Content Filter ON.Being a newbie to Dreamstime, it took me a while to find out, that reason for image not showing is done by the Content Filter. So I changed my site features and turned the Content Filter OFF. For me, I want to have a choice... continue reading

I'm participating in my first assignment, Hidden Local Treasures, and I had¨two of my submissions approved. It's true that I live in an island that is a treasure, and also relatively hidden above the arctic circle, but I didn't expect that two of my amateur's pics where accepted continue reading
Often an image is hiding in the overall scene somewhere - details that I miss and pass by without noticing. So what I do, generally, to find these hidden gems, is to look for contrast between elements, find strong graphic shapes, repetitive patterns, and prominent; often primary colours.I don't stop at the first image, but continue shooting, at the same time refining the image by changing camera angle slightly, getting closer or change lenses to eliminate the distractions between subject &... continue reading
After I have reviewed my photographs from one of my photography outings I will burn a dvd with all the original files even if they are good or bad.I have several hundred DVDswhich normally I do not go back through unless I need to for some reason.Well I decided to start reviewing those old files again and started to find hidden treasures that I might be able to use on Dreamstime.I can not believe I missed some of these shots the first time around of reviewing but I am pleased to say that my... continue reading
