Here is a horse who lives with his friends in a neighborhood. I would call him a clever horse Hans. Why?He cannot do arithmetic or talk in a human voice, but his clever gaze or his manner to come to greet me makes his actions in a way very humane. At these moments I talk to him and a strange feeling comes that he can understand me! So let be his name Hans! In a history of science, a horse named Hans is known for a remarkable capabilities including arithmetic or language skills. Well,... continue reading

Ace was the boss of our ranch! Though he whipped other horses to let them know he was boss he was also gentle and lovable.I only rode him three times and that was bareback. Each time was when we used Ace to retrieve or return a neighbor's stray horse.Sometimes stray horses won't go back where they belong by themselves.I so enjoyed riding him! He was my baby! I talked to him and called him my, "Baby boy!"He loved it! Loved me to touch and rub him.I photographed him a lot!!!... continue reading
Last week I "met" with a herd of konik horses in a winter landscape. The herd walked at sunrise along a frozen lake in park "Oostvaardersveld" in Flevoland (The Netherlands). The horses walk free in nature and like being photographed when you don't bother them.I was fortunate that Dreamstime accepted these photos, so you also can enjoy them. continue reading
Do you know somebody that doesn’t love horses? Well, I also adore them! And I get really crazy when I have a chance to take photos of them. Especially shooting horses in action. That night when my husband and friends took me to my first horse races was a magical night for me. Or I taught so…It was a dark, very cold and windy evening. None of this had stopped me from standing outside, my heavy camera in my hands, my eyes with tears from the cold in them, my heart almost exploding of emotions…... continue reading

The performance consists of a group of horse riders, all wearing traditional clothes, who charge along a straight... continue reading
Horses are happy to come out of the stable at every time. But in spring they get very activ. No matter if the weather is bad - they are doing their games. And even if you are not able to understand horse behavior - like me - it's a pleasure to take photos of them! continue reading
As an animal lover, novice horse rider and a “trying to improve photographer”, I visited a local Heavy Horse show with my camera at the ready. There were plenty of horses listed for the many events; Shires, Suffolk, Clydesdale and some breeds I had not heard of; Jutland, Comtois, Percheron and Ardennes. These horses really are gentle giants and very graceful too in the arena despite their size. They may have been used for pulling barges, working the land, pulling carriages or logs but as the... continue reading
By way of introduction, I'm not keen on horses. They are lovely, beautiful, great animals, but I've had no chance in my life yet to keep myself close to them. In spite of this, you can see many photos about horses in my portfolio. No, I'm not a liar. :) Horses are easy to shoot (with camera, of course :)), they're calm and funny in same way, so really good models for an amateur, too.Second stage, I'm not a Photoshop guru. I don't like hard modification in an image - but now I realized that good,... continue reading
