Art nouveau, secession, jugendstil. The next stop of Bwagner Tours. Art was always part of the mankind, I think, this is, what really makes us different from animals. From early on, humans decorated their caves, their clothes, then called the greatest artists to build and decorate palaces and churches. But this is the era when - thanks to the industry - it moved into the homes of the common man. Companies, that even in our days work, made it happen. Thonet and Tiffany with their products, Moët et... continue reading

I'd like to show you a few less known but beautiful places in rural Hungary. You might heard about Hortobágy and the Puszta. We skip that for now. First lets take a look at the hills just north of Lake Balaton. Not high, but the climate is excellent for wine making. The Káli-Basin is known of the cute little villages and picturesque vineyards. One of the most romantic places in Hungary is the Bakony in autumn. The gold and copper leaves, the fog, the layers of hills, curve after curve on... continue reading
If I have to choose one subject as my favorite, it is nature photography. Unfortunatly birds are not very much into modelling, and you need to wake up early to catch them. So most of my bird portraits are a bit noisy. That makes every bird photos of mine accepted even more precious. Here are a few: green woodpecker (taken in Vienna, Austria) Sharp-shinned hawk (taken in NH, USA) Hoopoe (taken in Hungary) continue reading
Almost exactly 3 years after I've taken this photo, someone bought it: I remember the day well, I was with my friends, juts walking, talking, no shopping, no destiny, no hurry. Just catching up, enjoying the unique view, the perfect weather. I still can feel the breeze on my skin. The reconstruction works on the Redoute (Pesti Vigadó) just finished, and at the opposite site of the Danube there she was, that beautiful Castle of Buda, with those perfect clouds. Of course I had to take a few... continue reading
One of the biggest things that fascinated me while travelling was food and its production. When I was in Asia, I got to see tea plantations, rice paddies and countless markets. In South America it was coffee, cocoa, olives and wine grapes. Here in Canada I think we give very little thought about where our food comes from, and what is happening to it. We are either trapped into not being able to afford it, or we are so enamoured with eating the newest thing (and of course Instagramming it). I always... continue reading
We made plans to go on a trip. We decided the date for late May, early June. Then we started dreaming. I used to dream of relaxation (people see me as a lazy person, therefore i dream about free time) and she was dreaming of traveling. This image is not part of my dream or hers. I still have trouble taking a photo while sleeping.Others might get luckier. Should someone find a way to photodream or maybe dreamphoto, please send a reply!Besides being lazy, I am very anxious. It is now already... continue reading
After a Barnstorming year in 2011 where I uploaded 425 images I kinda had a quiet year in terms of producing stock images in 2012 uploading just 40 odd images. However I am returning this year with hopefully a little more motivation and some new toys, I guess 2012 just got away from me in terms of time and whilst I did take lots of pictures many of them languish un-edited hidden away on my hard drive.Sales for me over the period of inactivity have slumped dramatically so I am determined this... continue reading
