One of the great things about living in Ecuador, there are lots of things to shoot - like the wild land iguanas that are everywhere. They run from mere babies of about 6 inches, to well over three feet long. Here are just some I've shot.The secret to capturing images of wild animals, at least for me, is not to start shooting right away. I'm coming up on a year on DT.. I still havent broken the $100 barrier but i do have to say i have learned a lot and I think my images have improved as a result of being on the site. I also enjoy being able to use the site to pick up images for the short online videos i shoot.I hope the next year brings even more growth. continue reading
I believe a lot of phtographers love the great nature shot when they see one. The problem is when you see a great shot, and get so involved in it that you forget this isn't a nice little puppy. This Iguana is a good example. I didn't have my telephoto on so I just eased myself down to take the photo. When the shot was taken the Iguans tried taking my hand off but hit my camera instead.After I gathered myself I thought twice about trying to get a few more photo's.I try to be respectful of animals... continue reading
