A work of art or a stock image?

My local council used to have an art competition every year, which was mainly painting, drawing and photography. I looked forward to it every year and everyone that submitted got in. It was a wonderful community event. The main criteria was to capture some aspect of the local area. This was the year I chose a local park where many people walk their dogs and which also happens to be a historical cemetery. Head stones and monuments are scattered about this park which makes it fairly unique. I used to... continue reading

First sale and a little story behind the image

Well, looking online this morning I saw that someone has bought one of my photos, which was a great surprise. The area is also known as the Axarquia and is a very beautiful part of Spain, having lots of small white painted villages inland, miles of sunny coastline and even... continue reading

Beauty and the beast - a story about waves

When oceans want to show off, they make some waves. Literally.Waves are the arches that the sea is forming after a storm, splashing onto the shore in a great white foam.
