Several months, I try to reading the assignment descriptions closely. Most of the time, it is kind of exercise that can brighten your creativity because there is a lot of examples or ideas to help you to create the concept picture and to pass the first assignment selection. Here is my first picture submitted and accepted so far. There are two more pending in the queue. The assignment is the positive adrenaline keep me awake and curious of making new picture every day. I haven't uploaded a lot since last time I wrote a blog article 2015, but I had a nice surprise having 6 photos accepted for "Crowds" assignment. Last time I sent photos for an assignment, all 10 were refused. After that, I uploaded them normally and they were accepted, so it is possible they were good, but not excellent. I feel it is an improvement from the point of view of the acceptance rate for an assignment. The accepted ones from this assignment are below. What is your opinion about this?... continue reading
This is my first foray into writing a blog for Dreamstime....I've been a contributor to Dreamstime for some time, starting back when there were less than 1 million images online (seems like ages ago!).At the time, I had discovered the Dreamstime site while looking for inexpensive, quality stock images, thenlater decided to try my hand at contributing a few myself. At first, I submitted a few vacation photographs, captured with a little "point and shoot" camera (which... continue reading
Hi everyone, since I am a Dreamstimer I submitted a lot of my dog photography with tips on how to take decent shots on non cooperative models such as dogs... and I have to say, each refusal note was teaching me to perform better shots me too... This was one of my first, but on adult dogs it's easier: they're teached to stay and more collaborative. With puppies it's a real nightmare! If they stay, then you have a lie-down image that is not more different from a million similar ones,... continue reading
Hello everyone,After a short abstinence, during which I studied the possibilities of my equipment and learned about stock photography, I decided to make some changes and try again with a different approach. I started to turn around and look for details that in normal circumstances I wouldn't have noticed. I try to recognize the scattered elements with certain potential and put them together into the system attractive for photography. I hope to move forward in this direction and that my efforts would... continue reading
I haven't been very active on this site for the last couple of months. This is definitely not down to lack of interest or motivation, it's just that real-life had gotten the way for a while. It has given me time to take a step back and re-evaluated the way I work as a photographer. I have learnt a lot over the last couple of months, and hopefully this will show through in my images as I start to upload at a quicker rate again in the foreseeable future.I have only ever sold one image a month since... continue reading
My journey in the field of stock photography started in the month of May- June 2015. It was summer vacation in my country, me and my kids were tired of shooting remote images and landscapes, a friend of mine told me about stock photography and its standards. The high quality requirement of stock agencies was a challenge for some one like me who use Canon sx520 hs superzoom. At first it seems an impossible task, we were shooting and posting images only to be rejected, every rejection taught us... continue reading
There is value in photographing everything, everywhere, all of the time. That value is sight improvement.Sight improvement is the ability to see more clearly tat which will make a better photograph. The more you shoot, the more you are seeing. The more you are seeing, the more your discernment improves.I have a friend who has an eye for seeing the stock value in a photograph. She has been buying stock images for websites, print projects and more for a very long time. In doing this she... continue reading
