Since my first Dreamstime upload a little over 4 years ago I have planned to blog about significant milestones; first anniversary, first 100 sales, first 1000 uploads etc. However, for various reasons, including tick bite fever (do not try this at home), I never got around it. So, why blog now? My uploads this morning are 7100, a nice round number, but significant because my 1 January 2018 goal was to get 7000 uploads by end October, with 8000 by the end of the year. My other stats are 818... continue reading

Having pictures that go together in your portfolio can transition to more sales for the simple fact of if designers like the one photo they may want the other for there project which means more sales for you. Sometimes taking photos of the same objects at different angles isn't enough, sometimes it may be wise to consider adding another prop to the picture.Pictures at there simplest form can be even considered valuable, like a plain old napkin with the words I love you on it can appeal to buyers... continue reading
I don’t have many downloads to make a serious statistics, but so far my best images are the unique ones. I started with painting. My paintings are pure exploration of world of colors and shapes, exploration of my inner world, my emotions and sensations. They all are the abstract paintings. But I wasn't satisfied. Somehow, I felt it wasn't showing what I wanted to express. So I experimented with my camera. I stared to make macro shots of specific parts of paintings and one painting could... continue reading
I started to contribute to microstock photography agencies in 2013 (shortly after the birth of my elder son). If you want to build a new solid portfolio from a scratch you’re going to have a long road... continue reading
After a long time away from DT, due to the loss of my whole camera setup, I decided to buy another one and keep on posting for my Exclusivity contribution to this database, improving the quality of my shots and the times of shooting sessions. And so I also decided to ask for a serious critique on what is good or not for this platform (i.e. what could sell better in my portfolio, what I should leave out of it and what can wait).Comments and critiques are very seriously welcome here, to help me improve... continue reading

Hello all,With the upload of my six new photos, my acceptance ratio has increased from 72.1% to 76.5%!I think my mistake last month (my first month at Dreamstime) was that I uploaded too many at once, meaning that only nineteen out of thirty one were actually accepted... This month I only uploaded ten and six were accepted but I definitely concentrated more on the titles, descriptions and keywords. Which is ultimately what matters because that is what the customer will be searching! I still... continue reading
