Browsing the photos and blogs of your fellow Dreamstime photographers is a profitable habit to get into. There is so much creativity and artistry on Dreamstime that will inspire your own images.I recently came across a great blog and a collection of black background animal portraits by Helgardas. Stunning work! Nothing but soulful faces peering out from the dark. I was inspired by the creativity to touch up a recent animal shelter photograph in the same manner.“Falcon” had been surrendered... continue reading

So for anyone that wants a good chuckle, I will tell you my story.Im still testing the dreamtime platform to see what the publicand designers will actually buy so I am on purpose taking pictures of things that are just to test the market for now until I start doing my modelling shoots again. So I thought it would be very funny to put a picture of the nicest pooper scooper sign I ever saw as a total test.I tested it because im trying to find catagories that there is a hidden market for... continue reading
I always enjoyed taking pictures, but my first visit to Australia 9 years ago changed how I approached the art for the better. It was an escape that caused my photographer’s eyes to open.I saw the colours and diverse plant and animal life, and knew I had to think differently to capture it in a way that would do it justice.Upon returning to Canada (where I “joke” there is no wildlife and all the birds are brown), I started saving for my first DSLR. 2.5 years ago I quit... continue reading

Sometimes in photography, we find that we've slowed down for some reason. These slow periods can be a natural part of our creative work. Exploring the deeper causes of these slowdowns can provide insight into our creative selves. For now, let’s look at how to grab the camera, give our creativity a little push, and get started again. You might be thinking, not want to shoot... continue reading
I think that everybody needs inspiration from time to time. I live in Ukraine, last haft a year has been very tough here. I was exhausted emotionally, did not see any positive tendencies, did not find any source for inspiration to take pictures. But then I read Wisconsinart’s blog about earning $20,000 for 5 years of microstocking. That experience shows that if you are fascinated by the things you love and dedicate your time to it, it brings you back not only fun, but also earnings. The point... continue reading
