“Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.”― Brian Jacques, Taggerung“Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.”― Hans Christian Andersen, The Complete Hans Christian Andersen Fairy... continue reading
“When you get to the end of the road and feel like you've arrived at a place where you don't want to be, for pity sakes, turn around, back up and move in a different direction. There's no road in life that is a dead end unless you stop there permanently.”― Toni Sorenson“Life does not favor the fearful nor does it reward the reluctant; it embraces and elevates those willing to climb in spite of their fear and willing to try in the mocking face of failure. It gives bonus points to those... continue reading

I have a 11 year old nephew who is a good kid but at that age where we got to keep em in check. Smart on the computer and adept, somewhat addicted, at video games. Outdoors didnt play much into his life. Well this bothered me to some extent as the balance was not there. Too much priority to non productive video games.Well one day he was at my home and I was showing him the work of myself and other contributors here at DT. Showed him how to use my camera a bit and how post processing works and... continue reading
Just like many of you, after a hard hit of rejections I get a bit discouraged. And I always feel comfort in reading other inspiring blogs. So if I may share a touch of inspiration that helps me get back on the horse.I have to remember, that taking photographs can be richly rewarding (not just monetary). Whether it captures my memorable moment or experiments with abstract concepts, a photograph allows me to express my personal vision of the world. And no matter the subject, technique, or composition,... continue reading

The image shown here is such and image, and I was surprised to see that this was not and editors choice image, but non the less it is brilliant and inspirational, well done to the photographer who has some really good shots in their PF.
