Some days ago I took my camera equipped with a macro lens and went to the nearby forest, I was looking for the concept "Autumn to Winter".I wanted to show somehow the decay of the Autumn leaves as fungus and bacteria separate their components and "help them" to join the soil of the earth again, As the minerals which they contained go back to the ground, the roots of the tree from which they fell one windy Autumn day will absorb them and reincorporate them to the tree.. to produce new leaves next... continue reading

So I began to learning the process of isolation by way of lighting set-ups that I read about online. To my dismay my results never produced a true isolation and always required photoshop to complete the task. It was time consuming, painstaking...not much fun and frankly uninspiring.... continue reading
I found a great little filter for Photoshop that makes extracting images from the background that is quick and easy. It's called Re_Mask 3 from Topaz. ReMask gets the job done in a shockingly short amount of time, while requiring a bare minimum of your input.I use it to replace backgrounds, especially when I need a perfectly white background, reposition subjects, and create compositions. Give it a try and see if you like it:) continue reading
