This is the first time my assignment image was approved on Dreamstime. It's of a city of Gifu, Japan - a prefectural capital, but not many visitors from abroad know about it, which I guess makes it underrated, since there's quite a few attractions worth a look, and one cultural event you probably won't see anywhere else - cormorant fishing on Nagara river. Here's this river flowing through town: continue reading

I travel a lot in Asia, and Japan is my most favorite country. One of the things I especially enjoy is local events, like temple festivals or traditional celebrations.Mount Koya in Wakayama prefecture is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its Buddhist temples. I started with dreamstime back in 2010 when I uploaded a couple of images out of curiosity to see whether anybody would buy my images. Not much activity from my side for four years after that, but about a year ago I started again uploading, this time more seriously leading to 765 accepted images and more than 100 $ in sales as of today.... continue reading
