When you’re a photographer — or any kind of artist, really — there is an easy trap to fall into, one in which you begin to lead this double sort of life. One portion of your life, usually the larger portion, is devoted to the day to days. This is the time you spend at work, the time you spend with your family, time spent shopping and doing chores, essentially all the things that you need to do to survive healthily and happily. And then there is that other life, the almost secret life, your art... continue reading

If you ever need a break, if you ever need a place to run away or just want a weekend out consider a visit to The Danube Boilers. Placed in the south-west corner of Romania, Danube Boilers are a magical place where the river carved the mountains and made a great new geographical form. It's a place where you can drink your coffe in the morning on river shore and simply listen to the silence of nature. Even tough it's a touristic area (Dubova and Eselnita villages)... continue reading

I have a very close friend of mine that also does stock photography and of course when we get together for some shooting we often use each other as models. And as I look back at all the roles he has had me into I tickle myself remembering the shots. I feel like some actor in a play.He has had me drunk and sleeping in a park.Having an accident on stairs.I have even been a rugged old blacksmith from years gone by.Some times it's not all glory, as when I'm cleaning toilets.... continue reading
How many hats do you wear? Myself, I wear many. I am a wife, a sister, a student, a teacher, a friend. Somedays I leave home at 8:00 am and don't return until 11:00 pm. There are seminars, classes, workshops, and teaching presentations, at times my life is so full of commitments that I wonder if there will be any down time just for me.In a seminar I attended recently, the speaker talked about the importance of balance in our lives. We feel the tug and pull of work, family, school, and the many... continue reading
What comes to your mind when somebody asks you or tell you words like "Breakdance" or "Pop" or "Moonwalk" or "white sock" or "Finger tapes" or even "one hand glove"...I am sure only one name one Image i.e Michael Jackson. For many it must be a short lived, media hyped loss but am sure for many more it is of lifetime. One of those many more is writing this as an expression of mixed feelings...sudden outburst of so many childhood memories, current & future loss of music. Its so difficult to describe... continue reading
My Blue kitty went back to the vet tonight after having another down-hill day health wise. He is losing red blood cells and they do not know why. In my desperation to bide some time, I opted for the blood transfusion option. After getting home and talking to my husband on the phone (he is 700 miles away on business), we decided it would be best to let him go. He is in too much pain, and we're afraid that all we are doing is prolonging the inevitable.I hope he gets to spend forever in the grassy... continue reading
I recently bought a camcorder; simple reason - as a photographer I concentrate on taking pictures that are needed for school, special projects, Dreamstime, etc.; but in the meantime I seem to forget to take pictures of the people I love. My computer contains thousands of images with landscapes, nature, still life, but there are only some with my loved ones. My Dad died three months ago and I cannot forgive myself for not taking pictures of him. I took his presence for granted and now I only have my... continue reading
