Hi Guys!Does any know any tips and tricks for taking pictures with lots of white (or black) in the frame? Here are a couple of tips that I use:1. Metering off blue skies - this invloves point the camera up towards the sky to set my exposure and then (with manual exposure set) point my lens back at my subject for focus and shooting. I just returned from Washington DC 2 weeks ago and it was a great trip... In DC, there is a law passed from long ago that buildings cannot be taller than a specified height.Coupled with the fact that there are no heavy industries around the area, the sky is perfect for photography - blue, vast and with the occasional cloud trails from the planes taking off from Reagan National Airport.The opportunity for shooting a good stock photo is abundant and I have submitted a few of the better ones... continue reading
I have recently discovered the world of stock photos and every site is a little different in setting up your account and requires different qualities of photos.Dreamstime seems to me to be the most professional and the most difficult to get a photo accepted.I recently uploaded about 10 - 12 photos and resubmitted those that required a model release....all of my models are my grandchildren and my children....rather than list my grandbabies names I used initials and I also listed all of their addresses... continue reading
