I love macro photography and I want to share my experiences with you.1 - Use a tripod. If you dont, then shoot in manuel focus mode , since your movements will destroy the AF point as your body moves.2 - Sometimes you can use a ring flash. But not always. It can cause sharp awesome shady areas behind your subject. But it was really exciting to try!I use Canon SRL. And a friend of mine owns Canon 100mm Macro lens (old version). I was lucky to try it out. Impressive lens I must admit! Especially considering its price.I think this lens is the best one to begin with macro photography. All the best everyone! continue reading

Well, as I didn't want to buy a crap, i found really good and long telephoto lenses unaffordable and decided for really "short" lenses. So, an extreme macro lens from Canon, the MP-E 60mm was ordered in ca 1 week after founded the need for something new.Unfortunatly i haven't have much time to practice but i've got some really really awsome photos that human eye doesn't see in everyday... continue reading

I was willing to purchase a macro lens from many days, was unable to afford but finally I have recently purchased new macro lens which is Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USMI really love closeup & macro photography. Before purchasing this specialized lens I was using some local closeup filters with diopter +1,+2,+4 & +10. These filters were helping me to go close but it's really difficult to obtain quality photographs. Especially with +10 one gets very high distortion in corners, purple fringing,low... continue reading
