This Christmas I visited the island of Mallorca and I had time to make a few photographs I'm uploading these days of January Dreamstime. I recently visited Malta, a small island group in the Mediterranean. I didn't have very high expectations but I was very pleasantly surprised. I went on a short break to Cassis, a small town close to the big city of Marseilles.Cassis is a charming little town with a great splendour of beaches and mouth-watering gastronomy.The only little proviso I would have that it is choke full of tourists.But that is not surprising, it really is a jewel and as such it is only natural that it would attract such an abundance of visitors.I only spent a day in Cassis, so did not get to check out the night life (which is of little interest to me... continue reading
Although a tiny island Malta is graced with some beautiful countryside and scenery. One area which is beautiful and also inspiring is Wied Iz-Zurrieq which is found on the cliffy south-east coast of the island. Much of this coast line is made up of dramatic cliffs punctured every now and then by a deep and small valley which leads towards the sea. Wied Iz-Zurrieq is one of these, the word 'wied' being the Maltese word for valley.I just hope that 'progress' won't get in the way and spoil this natural... continue reading
