Hendrk has a lovely article on the blue hour reflections with beautiful photographs.A recent trip to a seaside resort on Batam Island, Indonesia gave me a chance to take some photographs during the times of the day he mentioned. It was raining cats and dogs when we arrived. Luckily, it cleared by late afternoon and we had a lovely evening. Armed with my camera, I wandered around the resort recording the beautiful scenery. This summer was unusually warm in Denmark. I was lucky to have vacation in this period, and spent a few weeks in Blokhus in the northern part of Denmark. Blokhus is a very small town with only 440 inhabitants but due to its proximity to the sea and a very attractive beach, the place is really crowded during the summer with thousands of tourists from the rest of Denmark and the surrounding countries. One morning I decided to get up very early to enjoy the sunrise and maybe take some photos.... continue reading

Using photo... continue reading
This summer I spent two wonderful weeks at the Seliger Lake (Russia, 400 km to the NW from Moscow). Some nights I made a shots of starry sky and each morning I checked if it's a mist over the lake. Sometimes I was lucky to catch the mist. Night which gradually becomes a day - this is fantastic show, trust me. Especially if one has a camera complementary to ones eyes and soul...PS. I would love to have a tool to place the images in blogs more accurately - now it works just terrible. continue reading
Hi Dreamers!Over the years I have been to London several times, and every time I carefully packed my camera etc, hoping for a great opportunity to take great pictures. To my great regret, until very recently I was mostly unlucky in terms of the weather in London.Usually I had some businesses to take care of first which (again usually) would happen beforeafternoon, just while the sun was shining and the sky was blue. I used to think: What a wonderful day for a photo-session in the City... continue reading
I found mine here.Found it with Google Images search. The picture was taken at early summer this year.I was trying compose a different picture of sunflowers (where we usually confront it head on and facing the camera). The day before, I had a conversation with my daughters and they excitedly declared that sunflowers tracks the sun during the day, having discussed it with their friends in school.I dont have the heart to tell them that actually its not true, and it is a misconception,... continue reading
