I've been thinking about my content and photo projects a lot recently. I'm usually pretty busy... I have a full time day job, a girlfriend, I shoot bands, and like everyone else, I'm swamped with a million little things. This is NOT a complaint. It just means I have to really work hard to make the effort for all the stock photo stuff in my life. You have to really want to do stock photography. It's rarely glamourous. It's often tedious. There's keywording, editing, time in lightroom, time spent... continue reading

Hi FriendsI have just started my work with dreamstime. I am crazy for photography experience. Dreamstime helped myself becoming my dreams true.I took the first shot of a flower on a roadside greenbelt. That photo was accepted. After that i was so excited to make more pictures.I planned to go in a nearby housing scheme garden. I spent three hours there and took plenty of photos. Photos of flowers, sunset, lake, bridge etc. I took photos from different angles and different settings of... continue reading
Hello, Photo-maniacs.No nonce, "why do we do this", really not for the money. We do it for the beauty of the eye of the camera, the light, the sunshine in early cold mornings.PassionMy name is Bart, I live in Belgium. Sometimes, being a photographer can be exhausting. We all push ourselves. Some mornings, it's worth being awake before anyone else... Sunrises and sunsets can be cliche or exotic.Look for the angle nobody else is shooting, carry a wide, a macro, and a telephoto at all times. To get this sunrise, I was walking though 300 yards of soft freshly plowed cotton field, my feet sank deep into the soft Mississippi soil with every step. As I was trying to get closer to the tree, I was running as best... continue reading
Several years ago, I used to sell my photography as prints. But the site I used is, long story short, dying.I put extra effort into promoting myself, upgraded my gear so I'd have an extra "edge" (I felt I had outgrown mine anyway), flew to Australia and pushed myself that extra mile in the field, but the stats kept plummeting and I became discouraged and demotivated. I tried signing up with other stock sites in the past, but they found every excuse to consistently reject my work time... continue reading
I just saw my first sale and while the pay is minuscule, my excitement is tremendous. The first sign that pursuing photography as more than just a fun hobby was when some of my photos were accepted. But actually selling an image? Wow! It's an incredible feeling. Now I want to get going with uploading more photos. continue reading
I was going to wait for my 1 year Stock Photo anniversary to pass before posting this, but having recently reached my annual target for uploaded images this year, and passing a milestone I certainly didn't expect to reach so soon, I decided to write it now, I don't think there are any more reachable milestones in the next month and a bit unless I get a couple EL sales or Google do another mass image purchase.I'll start with a very satisfying announcement, a couple of months ago I was wondering... continue reading
