Gardening tip

Most folk in Europe who own a house will have a garden and if owners are like me they want a striped lawn.Unfortunately dandelions grow as weeds in lawns and in Springtime proliferate. They seeds are vector borne.I discovered some 2 years ago the Supermarket Lidl stocked weed removersand here is a shot of a dandelion being removed by my wife.So far this Spring my wife has removed over 500 dandelions which if left in the ground would have multiplied to thousands later in the Summer.... continue reading

Wildlife and Movement First Try

I set myself an assignment the other day, to captureanimal movement with my new sigma 70-200 2.8 OS lens and new Canon 7D.Being fairly new to photography and exploring my new kit, I was eagerto get some decent shots. Future change from Sony to Nikon

I use a minolta 50 mm 2.8 macro, 100 mm 2.8 macro , konica-minolta 17-35 2.8-4.0 D and a Tamron sp 70-300 mm f/4-5.6,flash minolta 5600 hs, a sigma macro tube flash and a studio umbrella and softbox flash.I used to own a minolta 9000, minolta 9xi and a konica-Minolta 7D.The last one was my first digital camera.I always used the same lenses except the Tamron I bought half a year ago.But its about time to change now to another brand.I love the Nikon D3s, expensive but just what i need.Not to... continue reading
