One of my favourite photos:It’s an unfinished marble statue of a nude female torso, standing outdoors near the waterfront in Naxos, a Cycladic Greek Island. It’s particularly pleasing to me for many reasons, and not because it just sold for the 4th time. It’s an astonishing work of art in this unfinished state. Maybe the sculptor had a fight with his model, went home for a souvlaki and coffee, and never came back. Whatever, I’m glad he didn’t.It also reminds me of holidaying on Naxos, one... continue reading

In the digital era, ease of use and access sprouted some habits though some might be useful, some are not.Now that almost every electronic device has a built in camera, photography on an amateur level seems to be going a bit out of context regarding the whole concept and understanding of taking a photo.Taking into account mobile phones/tablet, pocket cams and dslrs, here are some bad habits you need to stop:For mobile photo users- Do not zoom in onto the subject using your fingers, the mobile has... continue reading
Before I start, I'd like to tell you that my camera is the best; shoots at 14 frames per second, focuses instantly, weather sealed, has 4K video up to 120 fps and you tell it what to shoot, it goes by itself and brings back great results :))So yes, i'm being sarcastic, but with a message. Its not that the above specs are useless, in fact they are great at assisting professionals to attain their desired moments within a frame or video. Pro level specs do give a sense of trust due... continue reading
Let’s say you have something you want to communicate with an audience. It could be a blog-post, a presentation at your company, a social media post, an advertisement, or any other form of message. How do you get your audience to pay attention to your message? And when your audience gives your message a few seconds of attention, how do you make the reader actually understand and absorb your message?Every day, hundreds of millions of messages fiercefully compete for our attention.... continue reading
Products from plasticine - a fairy-tale character and a vase with several colors. These are my first works in this way so please do not judge strictly, but in fact I do not think that everything is so bad :) But I do not expect big sales, because none of my photos have been sold yet :(Friends tell me, tell me about your success, what and how to do it right. On the Internet a lot of things are written, but the information is still quite old and I believe that it is no longer relevant. I would... continue reading

For thoose that don't know what a CPL filter [circular polarizer filter] is, I will try to explain what is it's purpose and you can decide on your own if you need it.Let's imagine this:"You just came back from your vacation on the seaside and you download your pictures from your camera. You look at them but you don't see that blue water that was right there beside you. You only see the reflection of the sunlight and you wonder: why is that? Where are the pictures with clear sea water, with clear... continue reading
Hello, now I'm struggling with a new problem, I've bought some cheap macro tubes with contacts (plastic ones) which worked great, but seems my cheap tele-macro lens has some issues with them recently.I've tried to clean the contacts with an eraser then with ethyl alcohol and nothing seemed to work so far plus the lens has some issues in macro mode and when used at 300 (Tamron 70-300 tele-macro) which is a pity because I have some shots accepted here with this lens as well.I would really appreciate... continue reading
