Protective parent

 Doing a study on eider ducks I came across this aggressive Oystercatcher determined to drive me away from its nest, the exact location of which I could not identify. It amazed me as this relatively small bird continued to display aggressively despite its size. The power of its instinct to protect its eggs was greater than its fear of me. The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA)( National Grand Theatre), and colloquially described as The Egg, is an opera house in Beijing, People's Republic of China. The Centre, an ellipsoid dome of titanium and glass surrounded by an artificial lake, seats 5,452 people in three halls and is almost 12,000 m² in size.
