The pe(a)rks of Vienna

Vienna was chosen 2017 as the most liveable city - for the 8th year in a row. For those, who wonder why, in my humble opinion, parks are a major factor. Vienna has many and big parks, for every season. Let me show you some:This is Volksgarten with the Burgtheater (National Theater) in the background. Very popular among the tourists and locals, because of the closeness to the city center - Burgtheater, Rathaus, the Burg are all very close, in early summer the smell of roses..   The park... continue reading

I would love to introduce to all of you wonderful Dreamstime compadres a beautiful hidden gem here in East Texas, my stomping grounds.Lake Nacogdoches. It isn't very large, it isn't on the travel agents radar. It just sits quietly, a cobalt blue gem nestled in an emerald green carpet of east Texas pines.Wifey & I went there the other day, just a "one day get away vacay". Today, I came down to the white tower to remember my past and to remember the good times.  continue reading
