Looking at the blogs this morning, there were two articles, one after the other that, to me, sums up stock photography very well. Firstly, there was Thorken, who has achieved 10,000 submissions in around 7 years, big congratulations. Then there was the blog from Nikoslavdragonball, who has just made his first sale, big congratulations to you too.I don't know if Thorken ever thought that he would make it to 10,000 and I don't know if Nikoslavdragonball imagines he will make 10,000 but the blogs... continue reading

Hello everyone. It's been two months since joining dreamstime and it has just flown by. I've now had 40 photos approved and a small number refused but this has made me more careful, to think about the content to be uploaded and to persevere. There's a long way to go but it would be great to think I could produce photos of the quality that a great many of you have done. Who knows? I may never get there but it will be fun trying. continue reading

Lately, I feared I would break that trend, but I still got barely one sale per month. This month was just as uneventful, that is, until this week. A couple days ago, I was surprised by a nice income sale on an image which had never been sold before. I took it last spring near Denali Nat'l Park.A backhoe was widening the area... continue reading
