I am very happy to see that Dreamstime has started accepting videos. However, I am not happy that I have to buy a Mac to upload them. OK, that's an overstatement, but I found that in order to upload my videos, which I am sure are Emmy worthy, that I need to get a version of QuickTime to convert said winners into an acceptable format. Not wishing to start the old Mac vs. Windows controversy, let's just accept that Windows7 is better than anything Apple puts out, so how about accepting different... continue reading
Well, my first on location photo shoot is over and I managed to get MUCH LESS than I expected of myself. The good news I guess is that I at least got something. Here is one of those somethings…To start the day off, the garden center owner had apparently forgotten to mention to the workers that we would be there on Sunday (during regular business hours) to do some indoor shooting. Not a big deal there, really.BUT, in addition, a coupon mailer had gone out earlier in the week, and what... continue reading
Is it just me or do you also get less productive during the cold grey days of the winter?.What do you shoot during the winter months?.I find it hard to find something interesting and beautiful to shoot. Here and there you may see some trees that look kinda interesting.I guess you can shoot wintersports like skiing and snowboarding, but unfortunately i live where there's NO mountains around for miles and miles therefore that plan is out the door. And the landscape around here is just flat... continue reading

Unfortunately about 95% of all pictures can not be used in commerce.Olga's boyfriend came to the shooting almost by accident. However, what often happens is that these accidents allow you to create the best pictures. continue reading

https://blog.dreamstime.com/2012/07/18/technical-error_art37815 to comment on this previous blog concerning a Java problem when uploading photos on DT.I found I too was having a problem when trying to upload photos on DT after installing the new Java version. I have Windows 7 32-bit. I installed the requested/required new version of Java. After installation, the Java coffee cup icon would continue to circle endlessly. It froze my computer, in which the only solution was to restart. The previous... continue reading
