Since joining Dreamstime, I've submitted photographs taken with various cameras, starting with a good old point and shoot, followed by a bridge camera and now, with a recently bought DSLR. I've only used the DSLR a little but comparing the three photos, can you tell, which image was taken with which camera (without looking at the date taken of course) ... continue reading

Also my first blog post so there's another milestone! I'm really pleased to have reached my 50th sale, I was close to getting there with only 200 files online which would have been a great achievement in terms of sales/uploads but I'm still very happy, also with the new content I've been uploading in that time between 40-50 sales. Here are my top three sellers accounting for a third of my sales so far (despite not being technically my best).#1 Thrilled to see this image used online by a UK Newspaper... continue reading

Okay, so it's taken 6 months, but I finally have my first sale on DT! That $0.35 has made my day :) Hopefully now the floodgates will open and more sales will follow. However, I do think I need to re-keyword my images--and upload lots more--to stand any chance of making regular sales. Never mind #motivationmonday it must be #midweekmotivation :)For those interested this is the picture I sold continue reading
Looking at Your Old Images with Fresh PerspectiveAs photographers, we are on a never-ending quest to create something new and unusual. After so many years of taking photos, you more than likely have terabytes of archived raw files or boxes upon boxes of negatives – most of which you haven’t looked at in years. Even those photos that we once chose as our favorites are sometimes buried under a wave of new, exciting images. At some point, though, we all need to go back to our photographic... continue reading
Hello everybody, it's my first post on Dreamstime Blog! I'm writing to share with you my joy about my first "important" upload milestone - 50 images online!I know that it may not seem important as there are a lot of portfolios on Dreamstime with 1000 and more images, but if you are a stock beginner as me or if you remember your excitement about first approved images, you will understand me! I've been uploading since November, 2014 and had my moments of inspiration and enthusiasm and sometimes of... continue reading
I have a progress!I started drawing my vector illustrations on a graphic tablet recently. I liked it!This is much easier than to draw using a computer mouse.Computer mouse to draw is not very convenient and accurate. The first graphics tablet, which I tried - it's Genius, and today on my birthday gave WACOM! It is wonderful ^ _ ^It remains for me to set up Illustrator to work with the tablet - and I can keep learning!here are some of my illustrationsfrom my portfolio, drawn with a... continue reading
Hey Everyone,Never posted a blog before so thought I'd make a start by posting about my very limited experience with the world of stock photography.Photography has been a serious hobby for me for around 2 years now (serious in the sense of purchasing my first SLR and spending time getting to know how to use it and take good shots, 2 years ago i didn't even know the correct term for Depth of Field). I first heard about stock photography around a year ago, but never really... continue reading
