Taken 11/25/14 these folks set out to protest in the Santa Barbara streets, they did not make it on the fwy but made it to the SBPD. There were many speeches some harsh words and some that had hope and inspiration. For me i enjoyed taking pictures of new material and something i have never done before. Have a great day and take good care! null continue reading
THAILAND People Revolutiondoes not have the ability to govern the country we can wait another 4 years to elections other governments for government again. Foolishness is not a problem but the sin of greed and enchantment for power that is the problem which must be eliminated immediately.which can not wait. These are the reasons that so many people came together to expel the great evil which they have manifested in this goverment.Nobody wants their country to be chaos. But nobody wants to live... continue reading
I spent a number of hours at the Texas State Capitol during Sen. Wendy Davis' filibuster. Sadly, my camera was inoperable, but that meant I got to live in the moment, talking to strangers, sharing stories, and shouting. It was also my first time at a Capitol building and my first big protest since the events against Gov. Scott Walker in Wisconsin a couple years ago.Luckily, I had my camera at the ready during the next wave of protests on July 1st, 2013. I had my sunscreen on (and brought a bottle... continue reading
So Wednesday of this week, my friend and I boarded a Megabus, and traveled to NYC for the day, just to play "hooky", enjoy a change of scenery, and some beverages and food, and do some photography.I had no idea that thousands of discontent Americans had been organizing a massive protest in New York, near the Stock Exchange on Wall Street, to air their complaints, and make it known thatthere are in fact, citizens of this country who are motivated and concerned enough about their uncertain future,... continue reading
In Washington D.C. many protests are unannounced.I was down at Lafayette Park next to the White House to check out the protest scene on 3/20/11 and listened to music and speeches from a small group protesting nuclear weapons and nuclear power.Obviously nuclear power has its drawbacks but if oil keeps getting more expensive many countries have the unpleasant alternative of accepting nuclear power if the price is more reasonable.Everything from homes to electric cars can run off of electricity.... continue reading
I have been watching the last weeks the social movements that happen in Egypt and I was terrified! It`s a tragic situation and I think that no one wishes something like that to anyone!Even thought I was only 6 years old back then I still remember the revolt that took place in 1989 in Romania. That revolt lead to the fall of the Communism in my country! There were some tragic events that killed over 1000 people that got out on the streets to scream for their freedom, and to bring down Ceausescu.... continue reading
Maybe you heard about the plans called "S21" to move the Stuttgart (Germany) Railway Station underground - a multi-billion Dollar project that causes a lot of discussions and demonstrations amongst the public in Stuttgart and abroad. Some people think this discussion might even change the way German politics work forever.Anyway, I took some photos during the last demonstration against S21 last Saturday (more than 40.000 people participating even despite the cold temperatures) and out of those... continue reading
This is a bottle I bought in a Bangkok market. It's a beautiful bottle with the pattern of elephant. Bangkok is a lovely city, you can always see people with smile, smile from heart. But the city is in chaos in recent several weeks due to the fight between the army and the anti-government protesters. The people has two faces, they look so kind in peace, and so rude in fight.Best wish for the lovely city. continue reading
In all my years of living in Washington D.C. I have never seen such a mean spirited campaign against a president such as the the Republican Party sponsored Tea Party Protest at the U.S. Capitol on 9/12/09.There was a sea of people each one carrying a sign trashing the president calling him everything from a communist, a dirty diaper, and a terrorist. These people represent the 49% vote of the last election and promise to vote him out in 2012.Hindsight is 20/20 but no one is sure if the president... continue reading
