January has arrived and with that I have started to upload my latest bird photgraphs taken during my recent vacation to the Wilderness area in South Africa as well as the Langebaan lagoon on the South African West Coast.Since joining in September, the learning curve to get images approved has been very steep and frustrating at times.I am happy to say that coming from a low of 58% in November 09 I am now submitting at a 94% acceptance rate.So what has changed.Firstly I am now only photographing... continue reading

Alright.. Not off to a very good start but thats ok right? It's a learning process. Apparently I key worded up the wazoo with words that didn't have anything to do with the photos.. I mean it is a stop sign so I thought that words like: Traffic, Cars, Motorcycles, etc.. etc.. would have been alright. I'm sure I put in a few words that really had nothing to do with it like: Ticket or Law.. I also had the tittle in all caps which is also one of the no No's around these parts. Today I have a tiny earning for my editorial image (see insert)This brings the download count to 5. If I am not mistaken that will mean this image goes up to the next level.So far, I have only one earlier image (ie. isolated of baby hedgehog)that succeeded going up to the next level.I am wondering if there is any benefit to this?I am sure many of you here have lots of images ascending to the next level after 5 downloads.
