Religious Freedom

Religion has been much in the news over the last couple of weeks. Some of the flurry surrounds Christopher Hitchen’s best seller: God is Not Great and the tenth anniversary of the death of Mother Theresa. Organized religions down to the local level publish in print and/or online. What images are the most successful for these wide and varied uses in news and religious publications?A quick review across the magazines and websites of many faiths shows that the most popular stock image subjects... continue reading

Handprints on the concrete.

With the help of paint and flowers you can transfer your inner world. I like experimenting with paint, as well as in this figure. Very beautiful look bright spots on gray and cold concrete. It's not just prints and not just concrete. For many lives like this concrete - gray and cold. Do not be afraid to add paint to it. Having added at least a little, we change a lot, at first glance, on a simple concrete and monotonous floor. continue reading

Inspiration from Sky...

I have always had a great attraction and love for sky. Interestingly, my first sale on DT also is an image of sunrays (crepuscular rays) coming through clouds...  When talking about sky, sunrises and sunsets are always special. At these times, the sky is filled with different colors, and wonderful patterns are created in sky, depending upon arrangement of clouds. This one is captured a few minutes before sunrise, at Promenade Beach, Puducherry, India...  "Halo" is an interesting... continue reading

XRAY IMAGES - discussion about the information, art and legal issues

As the visible light is used to create regular images everybody is familiar with, Xrays are used for images of inner structures of objects. Both are actually electromagnetic radiation, stream of photons differing in wavelength - visible ~ 390-710 nm; xrays ~ 10-0.001 nm. Colors of visible light are coded by the surface materials that absorb different amounts of light in different parts of visible spectrum, however xrays provide us with information about material density within an object. Xrays... continue reading

Approaching this year Ramadan... concepts...

I'm not a Muslim, but I felt involved in Ramadan concept once "known its sense"... and that's why I want to spend a few words about this spiritual period of year, respecting it and opening others' eyes on it. In this overpopulated world, where integration is the basis to fit all cultures together, where war for a God is unfortunately a reality to denigrate, Ramadan practice offers a way to our spirits to be better, to become better persons... Let's think about it: Ramadan is the... continue reading

Stray Cat Feeding

Have you ever feed a stray cat?Stray and feral cats often go hungry and are exposed to the chill of night, rain and winter. They are also exposed to abuse from humans and cat trappers who may feel they are pests endangering the natural habitat or creating nuisances to their properties. How do you feel about TNR - trap-neuter-return? If you want to help them, adopt one (or a few) at your nearest animal rescue shelter organization. You can also spend a few dollars a week to buy some cat food and... continue reading

I like this cat

This is a stray cat, but in my opinion is a different cat and other cats, it has a temperament like people, it's very flattering, it's temper is different at different times, it is sometimes very cute, sometimes particularly fierce, sometimes lazy, sometimes jump. This photo was taken when, in fact, the cat is sleeping, when it was awakened by my actions, the cat looked up and looked at me, I used the camera to record the moment.Until now, the cat's age have at least 8 years old, however,... continue reading
