1000 Uploads: Reflection on Joining the Dreamstime Community

What, at the time, seemed like every single day, my 8th Grade teacher would ask, "What did John Dewey say?”And we’d all reply, in unison, “You learn what you do!”Well, today I congratulate myself on 1000 uploads. I know. I know I said uploads and not sales but still, it’s a victory... at least to me. My acceptance ratio dipped pretty low at one point, but I’d like to think that as my acceptance ratio improves so does my photography. However, I still have images get... continue reading

Reflections

Do you like reflections? The autumn colors reflected on the surface of a lake? The old church showing its grotesque form on the glas walls? Serene and peacefull or intirguing, reflections can give that ultimate plus to a photo. Here are some examplesThese colors of Halibut Point (NH, USA) The symmetry of Kaisermühlen (Vienna, Austria) The Stephansdom in the mirror (Vienna, Austria) The blue and green of Lobau - Donauauen National Park And one more thing to reflect... continue reading

Water reflection

Autumn lake, quiet reflection, like a watercolor painting.Like the quiet scenery, quiet picture, like in a dream. The reflection of the water is one of my favorite subjects. I think one of the most valuable photography is that it can quickly show their favorite picture, which is not able to do painting.  continue reading

That perfect reflection

Sometimes you get lucky enough to find the perfect photo spot, one of those moments you have only ever seen in magazines. I was lucky enough to find this spot in Switzerland. For the perfect water reflection photo, you need beautiful scenery, and a glass-like surface. This glass-like surface is incredibly difficult to find, you need a breeze-less day, and a protected body of water that will not succumb to the elements. That is what I found here. However, these two factors can provide the perfect... continue reading

Gold Creek Pond hiking guide

Gold Creek Pond is an ADA-accessible paved loop hike around a picturesque mountain pond atop Snoqualmie Pass. It is the perfect hike for small children, who can walk unassisted the whole route, for parents pushing strollers and for people in wheelchairs. It's also a good leg stretcher for folks who have been driving a long time and need a break.StatisticsRoundtrip1.0 milesElevation Gain10 ftHighest Point3000 ftIt's hard to believe, but in the 1970s and early 1980s this... continue reading

I'm happy that this image approved!

Hello friends, I'd like to share that I'm really happy that this Blue Moon artwork of mine is approved. It's one of my personal favorite work and even though its simplistic, I've put a lot of detail and most important I've put my heart on it - which something I always try to do with my work. So, I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking! continue reading

Our reflection in our photos

When sitting at the computer in the office sorting out hundreds of papers, you involuntary raise your head over to the window and the eye naturally goes to the clear sky… Actually in this moment you realize that life goes on not in solution of important problems in dusty offices, but somewhere out there ... are spaces hidden from us. Then you take your camera and try to draw these spaces with the help of photo… You want to leave it on image that next day in a dusty office you will contemplate... continue reading
