I was uploading pictures for about a year, from 2010 until 2011. My last photo was uploaded on the 20th of October of 2011. Ever since I was completely inactive. For some reason this year I decided to log in again and see what changed. The website looked the same, the user interface looked the same. Even the contributors area which looked archaic 6 years ago was still the same(and still is). Then the current assignment at the time caught my eye. It was the WOW assignment, I submitted 5 photos I had... continue reading

I haven't been very active on this site for the last couple of months. This is definitely not down to lack of interest or motivation, it's just that real-life had gotten the way for a while. It has given me time to take a step back and re-evaluated the way I work as a photographer. I have learnt a lot over the last couple of months, and hopefully this will show through in my images as I start to upload at a quicker rate again in the foreseeable future.I have only ever sold one image a month since... continue reading
For some personal reason, I left DT for a long time. Actually, I've left photograph for a long long time, like 15 million years, lol.But in my heart, I've never given up photograph. I always wants to improve my skill and level of photography. Now, I'm back. Unfortunately, my level is still not high enough like I would have hoped. But I'm on it and hope I can get some surprise someday. I hope and I bealive:)Today, I only upload 4 photo. I wish that I would have a good re-start. Good luck, to me,... continue reading
When last wrote about my trip to the famous Jenne Farm in Reading, Vermont, I was there to capture a bit of the Autumn leaves and fine fall foliage among a backdrop of rolling hills and pastures accented with bright red painted farm buildings.Jenne Farm is indeed a iconic, scenic location complete with donation box which highlights its popularity among photographers seeking to capture a classic image of rural landscape. As may know from my previous post about the farm and surround area, I... continue reading
I was very excited yesterday about getting a big sale on my one and only Level 5 image. Yeah! But when I went online today that sale was no longer there and neither is my $9.42 earnings. I can't find any info on here about what may have happened. Anyone? continue reading
I hope this information will be helpful for you, especially for US photographers! So, it’s tax time! Most of people have to file a tax return! How about an income from DT? DT reports any amounts you earned to IRS. DT just isn’t required to send you Form 1099-MISC if your income is less than $599 (Please correct me if this amount was changed for 2008). Anyway, you must file an income tax return if the net earnings are $400 or more (See Publication 17 IRS for more info). You also can deduct expenses... continue reading
Back in April I had my camera and all the other equipment stolen. The details are not important, I have been stupid and paid for it.Although stock photo is only a hobby for me, it is something I really enjoy doing, so I have never given up the idea of stock photo all this time when I didn't have a camera. Actually I was thinking about it all the time, but until a couple of weeks ago I just didn't have the money to purchase a new camera. But now I have a camera and my first pictures taken with it... continue reading
The summer is the busiest time for most professional photographers - it's easy to get out and enjoy the weather, drag a few models along, shoot some, have a bbq.But it's also a CRAZY time for event photographers such as me!We are wedding and portrait photographers and we spend April through October of every year SWAMPED with "real" work that takes away from anything else we're doing, like stock. Now, we're back.We are here, microstocking, full time for the next 6 months. This is my... continue reading
This has always been a favorite photo of mine, but probably more because I remember the taking of the photo so vividly. It was taken in Guam, which at the time was very humid (I'm not sure when it isn't!).I was working there for a week and had a view of this beautiful sunset from where I was staying. The first time I saw it I rushed out of my air conditioned hotel to take the photo, only to quickly realize my camera was now completely fogged up.It took a long time to clear up, and the sunset... continue reading
