I think that everybody needs inspiration from time to time. I live in Ukraine, last haft a year has been very tough here. I was exhausted emotionally, did not see any positive tendencies, did not find any source for inspiration to take pictures. But then I read Wisconsinart’s blog about earning $20,000 for 5 years of microstocking. That experience shows that if you are fascinated by the things you love and dedicate your time to it, it brings you back not only fun, but also earnings. The point... continue reading
Hi All,I recently become an exclusive photographer. I was under the assumption that each image accepted received a $0.20 reward, is this correct, or is it each image that sells receives this bonus.I am new to this and am just starting to learn a few techniques and broaden my thinking.I am looking forward to learning and growing my interest in photography.See yaGavin continue reading
Who would have believed a few months ago that I, a photographer without any training, would have reached over 100 photos accepted. The start of the journey was hard and after many refusals I wondered, (as many others have I am sure) if this was for me. I decided to take every criticism and use it to learn. Well all of the hard work paid off and now I can take a look back and walk tall. Now that I have reach the 100 goal, it is time for me to set the next one. To reach 250 by year end, and should I... continue reading

What an exciting week I left behind.I remember as I almost sworn I will never shoot the weddings. Cause I just can't stand that pressure, that you have to do everything right and don't have room for mistakes, cause just don't have a repeated opportunity to fix your mistake. And I would love to have another light lens to feel more comfortable in low light situations (=weddings). But you just can't say no when you are looking in your good friends eyes, who says: "Maybe, perhaps, could you please.... continue reading

This month I celebrate my anniversary with Dreamstime as a contributor. It's been a very trying and testing year in micro stockespecially for me, since I started out being more or less a "sunday micro stock photographer" shooting only weekends for Dreamstime and others.I never really expected to replace my day job shooting weekends only , as in a sea of 8 million images 300 odd images is not exactly an assault to pull myself out from the maddening crowd.I imagine my work as the proverbial... continue reading
