Hastings pier - set to rise from the ashes

Back in October 2010 I posted about the devasting fire which had destroyed most of the Victorian pier here in Hastings.Great news this week when the charitable trust hoping to restore the pier was awarded £11.4 million towards the £13.9 million needed from the Heritage Lottery Fund.There is still some money to raise but, all being well, work should start in Spring 2013 with completion in late 2014.The original 1872 substructure remained intact after the fire and a newly designed upper structure... continue reading

100 uploads!

I reached 100 uploads! But more exiting, sales are rising quickly. I only have 16 until now but 9 of them were sold during the last week. Did my previous blog help? Did my collections help? I just don't know, I only see nice results, not the causes.Within two weeks I will start taking pictures like hell! My working contract will end and no new job in sight. Rise Festival, London

I love music festivals; people, music, fun. I took my small A200 with a very compact 50mm prime lens and went out shooting in the crowd. I saw some pro photographers, with huge cameras and huge lenses hanging around with a press pass where I could not get access, so I tried to take some "different" shots and, more, enjoy the music and the people.
