It's only 9th April and I've earned over 10$ this month. This is the first time ever I've earned over 10$ in a month and it makes me so happy :) Thank you DT :)I believe it has something to do with change in pricing model, because my RPD is much higher now.I may be wrong :) continue reading

Yesterday 3 years passed since my registration on DT. I have got some stats that could be of interest for others, so let me share some of my figures with you.So, after 1st year I had 216 images online, 92 sales and revenue of $$160. For my second year I uploaded 257 images and earned $$940 with 580 sales. My third year gave me 563 sales, $$1380 and I uploaded 288 files. Totally, by the moment I have 651 images online (110 have been disabled by me for 3 years), 1163 sales and revenue of $$2480.... continue reading
"Sub season" is a new term I invented just for microstock. Think about the rainy season - it sucks, and you get a lot of rain day after day when it comes. The "sub season" is just like that - it comes when you get a lot of sub. sales (but few, or no credit sale), day after day. It sucks because you don't really get much revenue, plus it lows your RPD.Since the beginning of November, I was, unfortunately, under the sub season. I had 20 sales for the month so far, 17 of them are sub sales, only... continue reading
It has been a little over 4 months since I jumped into microstock business with DT. Today I am happy to announce that I just made my first $500 with 343 sales.Alone with the $500 revenue, there are a couple of other milestones achieved recently:1) 500+ images online;2) approval ratio maintained 80+%;3) Monthly RPD increased from $0.45 for July to $1.90 for October.Fingers crossed, I am waiting for the next $500 in the next few months. This is the last image sale that helped me... continue reading
A common question on the Dreamstime forums concerns Exclusivity; many of us have struggled with the decision to become exclusive or to spread our efforts over different RF (royalty free) and RM (rights managed) agencies.I joined the DT community February 2010; I also jointed 12 other RF agencies at the same time. After a couple months, I began to see the immense amount of work to keep all the agencies going and decided to go exclusive with Dreamstime. It was not until mid-August 2010 that I... continue reading
Today I made it: I got over 2000 files accepted at Dreamstime. The acceptance ratio was 88.6%, which is fair enough. It took me about two years to reach that goal. In the meantime I received over 2200 sales (that means 1.13 DL/image), so thanks to all the buyers for that as well. The bestseller so far: A man holding his aching back. My RPD (return per download) is about 0.75 USD for the last months.I really love two things about Dreamstime that over agencies do not have: Their ability... continue reading
Took me 15 months to attain it, with a revenue of $932.54, or an RPD of $0.93.Total image online is 1520 and thus an RPI of $0.61.I think I am definitely NOT a microstock superstar.I like to think I am typical, but maybe I am less.Anyone care to share? :-) continue reading
In March 2007 DT introduced new subscription plans for buyers and credits for contributors (Price updates and strategy for 2007). It has been a widely discussed topic since then how $0.25 sales affect contributors.Today I noticed a nice column on my statistics page, which shows, how my revenue per download has changed during those months. I thought I'd share this stats with you.September 2005$0.50October 2005$0.50November 2005$0.53December 2005$0.55January 2006$0.50February... continue reading
