A Few Tips for Running

Long-distance running is good for health. Everybody should be able to run slowly if you are able to walk. My tip is to start running in short duration and with a short stride. Even a continuous run for 10 mins is a good start. You can add the duration by 10% every time. After a month or so, you can run for 3km at least without stopping. The trick is always run at a comfortable pace. You don't need to run very fast. The Best Time of the Day to RunGetting sunshine is surely good... continue reading

What's up with Turkeys?

A friend of mine used to feed wild turkeys in his yard in northwest Wisconsin. He owned a Honda four-wheeler and the turkeys learned that when he started the four-wheeler that it was time to eat. One day he started the four-wheeler in the shed by his house and drove it down to the barn to get sunflower seeds to feed the turkeys. As he was driving down the driveway a big Tom Turkey ran alongside the four-wheeler. The big Tom was so close to my friend that he could reach out and touch the Turkey... continue reading

Running Out of Time

Had a nice sale today for this photo - "Running Out of Time". This has been one of my best-selling images, created in 2007 as an assignment photo, illustrating climate change/global warming. I find it rather prophetic that the last year I chose to include in the running count is "2015"! continue reading

And then the intense butterflies in the stomach when you open your inbox one afternoon, and suddenly, there, stretched across the screen is the name DREAMSTIME, or whatever the first or second stock agency you'... continue reading

Photographing a running woman with sunset

In this period, there is beautiful cloudy sky. The beauty is emphasized in sunset. I couldn´t but make some photos of sunset sky for my sky archive. But then I have also asked my friend to come with me in meadow and to "make" running woman.I was very pleased with the result and today Dreamstime has approved my images of running woman over sunset.I take photos in raw and this is a great advantage as I experiment variety with colors. Like in this case. I could add more blue... continue reading
