Sad News But Great Memories

Three weeks ago our family dog died very suddenly, he had not been unwell so we were shocked and devastated at his sudden and early death. Whilst he has left a big gap in our lives for so many reasons, we still have our memories.Lots of countrywalks, paddling in the ocean, digging in the sand. Great family holidays, fun days in the garden, cheeky moments, little puppy to large dog. It's all there in photographs!Thank goodness for photography! A lifetime of memories captured forever, so when... continue reading

Sad Day

I am sad to say that recently I was robbed of some of my camera equipment. I was relieved of my recently acquired camera bag containing some of my lenses, my D80 camera all my chargers, flash unit and Sony handycam video camera, a loss of +- R50.000-00 in Rand currency. Even sadder is the fact that I did not have these insured - and here is the lesson in this - so will not receive money back for this equipment and will have to fork out for new one's. Lesson learnt if its worth a lot to lose then insure... continue reading

Sad news stories from Japan and Libya .

I am really distressed by the sad events of Japan, the tsunami and the 'radioactive cloud'hanging over it. My thoughts are with all those families who have lost loved ones and lost their homes and businesses. As photographers on Dreamstime we have to think how to illustrate these sad news stories without being able to fly to the scene of the disaster. Here is my take on the Japanese situation, first the tsunami, then a map showing Fukishima where the reactors have been out of control then an image... continue reading
