I recently upgraded my venerable Panasonic GH1 m43 camera with a newer one, the GH3 which was on sale. There is a GH4 out and also a GX8 and G7but there are only small improvements in the field of stills. A few weeks ago I had press accreditation for the Volvo Ocean Race start in Alicante Spain. Over ten days I took over 7,000 photos.The highlight of the week for me was being invited aboard Team Vestas Wind and the chance to meet the crew. After much quarrelling and endless hours in courts, it looks like it's time for sailing again for America's Cup.The US's challenger boat has been presented already, and this weekend it was the time for Alinghi's boat to be officially presented to the public, on Swiss national day, no less...The light was terrible so I couldn't take any decent pictures of the boat, but at least I got a couple of good shots of the America's Cup Trophy. continue reading
